i love this. it combines two of my favorite things : guinness and cartoon whales. i have a pair of flip flops from old navy that have a little cartoon whale on them and i love them! so cute.

happy st. patricks day to everyone. i don't know about all of you, but my family is irish, so this day is kinda big for us. my mom is making corned beef, cabbage, and red potatoes for dinner tonight, and i am sooooooooo excited. then later on tonight, i'm heading out to partake in the festivities in downtown campbell. guiness, green beer, and one (or maybe two) carbombs.

i am very tired today. i didn't get to bed last night until around 3am because i was helping my friend celeste at a salsa dancing event that she hosted with her friend rob. she is supersalcera productions and he is monterey salsa. they rented out the attic is santa cruz, hosted a free lesson, and the band broken english played for the party, and what a party! so much fun. broken english is an awesome band, and everyone danced their butts off. if you like salsa, be on the lookout for more events hosted by these two, and i will also post events and updates.

Cinequest Film Festival is taking over Downtown San Jose as we speak, and last night I went to the California Theatre to check out Tenacious DTour , a documentary that followed the D on their world tour in support of The Pick of Destiny . A funny thing happened when my friend and I went to pick out seats. We ended up sitting right next to Kyle Gass and his girlfriend. for those of you who aren't familiar with who he is, he's the other guy in the band who's not Jack Black. We had our momentary silent freak out when we realized it was him, at which point I quietly leaned over and told him he was awesome. He quietly thanked me, and normalcy was restored until a few kids came over asking for autographs. He obliged but soon realized the mini pencil he was given to sign with wasn't going to work. awaiting the arrival of the great pumpkin

happy halloween everyone! tonight is the night that all of the little ones have been waiting for all year. i remember being going trick or treating as a kid and the smell of mixed candies and pillowcases, the stomach ache you'd get from consuming 1/2 your bagworth an hour after you'd get home, and protecting what was left of your stash from the hungry hands of those around you. I used to hide a lot of my candy, and then forget about it and find it a year later, gooey and stuck to a notebook in the back of my closet. Now that i am older, however, my halloween usually takes place at a party the weekend before the big day.
