********************************************************************************** kusf is in exile , and they are doing their very best to get saved. over the weekend, they hosted one of their infamous record swaps. This one at a new location. It was the first I've ever been to, and it certainly won't be my last. when I walk away with jems like the one above, how can a trip up there, and the $5 admission going to benefit KUSF not be worth it?

will she bend it?

I'm going to see Barabara Eden tomorrow at the Castro Theatre. I remember watcthing reruns of "I dream of Jeanie" as a kid and thinking three things : 1) that I wanted my bedroom to look like the inside of her Jeanie bottle 2) I wanted to be like Jeannie II, Jeannie's "evil" twin sister who had dark hair was very naughty. 3) did larry hagman wear a wig? 'cause it totally looks like it. I wonder how many Jeannie's with facial and chest hair I will see.... may she make all of my wishes come true!

style icon : anjelica huston

yesterday I was sitting in the library looking at a vanity fair coffee table book of famous images that have graced that magazine over the last nearly 100 years, and none of them struck me quite as strong as the one of Anjelica Huston who has always been a favorite actress / woman of mine. To me, she personifies grace and grit, not to mention overall badassery. It happens to be her birthday today, so I decided to post some of my favorite images of Wes Anderson's leading lady. How I wish he would write a film for her, but as my good friend TC pointed out, he's way to male centric for that.

Capitola, by the sea

the capitola trolley that ran between 1910-1920. the houses to the left look a wee bit familiar. the Fourth of July to me means family, food, fun, and fireworks!! we had those in spades. Good times <3
