let it snow

Snowman

i noticed that the hills behind my house were covered at a lower elevation this morning, and apparently, it's snowing today in san jose. the news of this sent everyone in the office running for the front door. does this mean i get to go home?

  • winter passing
    • with zooey deschanel, will ferrel, and ed harris. after seeing deschanel in failure to launch earlier in the week ( and believe me she is the only good thing about that stinker)
    i now have a full fledged girl-crush on her. plus anything with will ferrel is always good.

    this weekend i will be holed up in my room watching library rentals:

    Cinequest Film Festival is taking over Downtown San Jose as we speak, and last night I went to the California Theatre to check out Tenacious DTour , a documentary that followed the D on their world tour in support of The Pick of Destiny . A funny thing happened when my friend and I went to pick out seats. We ended up sitting right next to Kyle Gass and his girlfriend. for those of you who aren't familiar with who he is, he's the other guy in the band who's not Jack Black. We had our momentary silent freak out when we realized it was him, at which point I quietly leaned over and told him he was awesome. He quietly thanked me, and normalcy was restored until a few kids came over asking for autographs. He obliged but soon realized the mini pencil he was given to sign with wasn't going to work.     awaiting the arrival of the great pumpkin

    happy halloween everyone! tonight is the night that all of the little ones have been waiting for all year. i remember being going trick or treating as a kid and the smell of mixed candies and pillowcases, the stomach ache you'd get from consuming 1/2 your bagworth an hour after you'd get home, and protecting what was left of your stash from the hungry hands of those around you. I used to hide a lot of my candy, and then forget about it and find it a year later, gooey and stuck to a notebook in the back of my closet. Now that i am older, however, my halloween usually takes place at a party the weekend before the big day.
