    • seriously, i am happy for those who are in love and loving it today...i'm just glad that i'm not a guy because then i would probably feel it necessary to spend hundreds of dollars on roses, chocolates, teddy bears, hotel rooms, jewelry, or whatever other rediculous gifts your sweetie needs to show how much you love them. When i finally have someone to celebrate the day with, i'm going to freak out and go totally overboard. i just know it.

    What is Valentines Day? Its a day where you can show off that you have a boyfriend who loves you and make everyone else feel horrible about themselves. I fail to see the point of why we would celebrate that. Should we have a day where all the rich people can gloat about having more money than the poor? Or how about all the healthy people rubbing in how healthy they are compared to people with diseases? Sometimes I just don't understand the logic of today's world.

    moving day

    as of 5:30 this evening, i will officially be a resident of willow glen i'm droping off the first rent check, picking up the key, and hauling the first of my belongings up to the apartment. My new roomie is a good friend, and I know we are going to have awesome time. Although I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked, and it will be a few weeks before I'm truly settled, I still couldn't be more excited. In the midst of all this moving chaos, I will be taking a short road trip to The Oregon Shakespeare Festival , to check out Othello and Our Town this weekend. I so need this little excursion. It's going to be a nice break, and a chance to catch up with some old friends.

    Self- Dstruction

    Cinequest Film Festival is taking over Downtown San Jose as we speak, and last night I went to the California Theatre to check out Tenacious DTour , a documentary that followed the D on their world tour in support of The Pick of Destiny . A funny thing happened when my friend and I went to pick out seats. We ended up sitting right next to Kyle Gass and his girlfriend. for those of you who aren't familiar with who he is, he's the other guy in the band who's not Jack Black. We had our momentary silent freak out when we realized it was him, at which point I quietly leaned over and told him he was awesome. He quietly thanked me, and normalcy was restored until a few kids came over asking for autographs. He obliged but soon realized the mini pencil he was given to sign with wasn't going to work. Thanks to my new Andy Warhol Happy Bug Day tote bag, complete with handy organizational top compartment, i had easy access to my pen. I handed it over with great joy, and he was abl...

    it's self-portrait tuesday santa cruz beach boardwalk. february 11th, 2006 i haven't done this in awhile, but i thought the photo booth picture was worth a submission. i looooooooove photo booths. i love it when you try to jam 10 people into 1 small booth. i love it when unexpected moments happen between shots and they get captured. i love the linear design. i love the fact that you have 4 chances to get it right. basically i'm obsessed with photobooths. i'm totally going to get one for my "mtv cribs" house. ps. just note to all of my friends: if you come visit me, one of the stops on our tour will most definitely be the santa cruz beach boardwalk. their arcade has like, 20 photobooths, not to mention the best roller coaster in the world.
