let it snow

Snowman

i noticed that the hills behind my house were covered at a lower elevation this morning, and apparently, it's snowing today in san jose. the news of this sent everyone in the office running for the front door. does this mean i get to go home?

    • last night. felicity huffman was robbed! reese witherspoon should have been best supporting actress if she should have gotten a kick in the ass. also, huffman is too good for desperate housewives. before the movie started, there was a preview for
  • winter passing
    • with zooey deschanel, will ferrel, and ed harris. after seeing deschanel in failure to launch earlier in the week ( and believe me she is the only good thing about that stinker)
    i now have a full fledged girl-crush on her. plus anything with will ferrel is always good.

    this weekend i will be holed up in my room watching library rentals:
    six feet under season 2
    ed wood
    eurotrip
    east of eden
    the phantom of the opera

    moving day

    as of 5:30 this evening, i will officially be a resident of willow glen i'm droping off the first rent check, picking up the key, and hauling the first of my belongings up to the apartment. My new roomie is a good friend, and I know we are going to have awesome time. Although I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked, and it will be a few weeks before I'm truly settled, I still couldn't be more excited. In the midst of all this moving chaos, I will be taking a short road trip to The Oregon Shakespeare Festival , to check out Othello and Our Town this weekend. I so need this little excursion. It's going to be a nice break, and a chance to catch up with some old friends.

    Self- Dstruction

    Cinequest Film Festival is taking over Downtown San Jose as we speak, and last night I went to the California Theatre to check out Tenacious DTour , a documentary that followed the D on their world tour in support of The Pick of Destiny . A funny thing happened when my friend and I went to pick out seats. We ended up sitting right next to Kyle Gass and his girlfriend. for those of you who aren't familiar with who he is, he's the other guy in the band who's not Jack Black. We had our momentary silent freak out when we realized it was him, at which point I quietly leaned over and told him he was awesome. He quietly thanked me, and normalcy was restored until a few kids came over asking for autographs. He obliged but soon realized the mini pencil he was given to sign with wasn't going to work.     it's self-portrait tuesday santa cruz beach boardwalk. february 11th, 2006 i haven't done this in awhile, but i thought the photo booth picture was worth a submission. i looooooooove photo booths. i love it when you try to jam 10 people into 1 small booth. i love it when unexpected moments happen between shots and they get captured. i love the linear design. i love the fact that you have 4 chances to get it right. basically i'm obsessed with photobooths. i'm totally going to get one for my "mtv cribs" house. ps. just note to all of my friends: if you come visit me, one of the stops on our tour will most definitely be the santa cruz beach boardwalk. their arcade has like, 20 photobooths, not to mention the best roller coaster in the world.
